Hi Bloomers!

Happy Friday and officially welcome to Summertime!

Something I have been working on being more conscious about while learning to garden, has been how to be responsible with resources. To preface, I have a lot to learn and am sure I could be doing more to help our earth be sustained, but I am a firm believer that if we all do a couple small things we would see a collective large difference.

Two years ago I purchased a rain barrel to collect rain from our gutters to use to water my gardens and help reuse the precious water that would otherwise go unused (to an extent).

Although this takes a lot more time to water the plants than my regular hose does, I do find specific enjoyment from using the rain we’ve saved, in my small watering can and the attention I get to give each individual plant. And there are some nights where I’m tired from work, life or just tired in general that I still use the water hose to get things done up quickly, but like I mentioned earlier, I like to think the small choices we make do add up and make a difference!

Whats one small thing you could do (or are already doing) to make a contribution or conserve on the earth’s resources?

Catch yah’ later Buds!

Just a little hint on the watering. Raise your barrel up and attach a hose to your spout. Instant watering hose. Or you can set up a drip line.
