Hi Bloomers! 🪻
Its been a while since we’ve chatted, and lots has happened! Autumn came and went, winter arrived and laid layer upon layer of snow over the garden beds, and when spring arrived, my husband and I were in the process of selling our first home and moving to a new one! 🏡

Huge shout out to Christian, our realtor who helped us sell our first home, buy our dream home for our family and answered every tiny question we could ever think of during that process! If you’re in the market for a realtor, I cannot reccomend him enough!
It has been a great start to 2024 for our family, although I was disappointed to not be able to start any seedlings (since we were showing our house, packing and moving) I decided to still set up a garden in the new house with transplants!
We all know that it doesn’t matter if you started them from seed or transplants, the garden is just as enjoyable throughout the process!
While we were working on settling in, and planning where to put the garden beds, figuring out which beds to buy, how to build them, I wasn’t without my gardening fix! Luckily for me, my team at work has two gardening committees that I am part of. Linda and Denley, two of my team leads, hosted wonderful garden launches in early June to kick off the season.

As we settled into our new home, I grew more and more eager to begin my new garden in our new dream house! The previous owners had their own little dirt patch that we made use of as a ‘try and see’ pumpkin patch, and any other transplants we could match up in my favorite app (Planter!), and we bought 4 metal raised beds.

This was our new home field! I held off on the fourth raised bed until we know how everything will turn out this year, and see where I want to place the extra bed.
My friend and I tilled up the dirt patch and realized it would make a perfect pumpkin and watermelon patch! My hope is to grow a surplus of pumpkins that we could share with our new neighbours! 🎃
What do you know, but my pumpkins are one of the crops that appears to be flourishing this early in our growing season!

I am so thankful for all of the new and positive changes in my life, and very eager to see how this new garden Blooms and flourishes!

I hope that with our lives settling down and settling in, I will be able to be more present in my garden and with my family at home.
It has been great to catch you all up on these big changes, and stay tuned for a full tour of the outdoor space (and boy is there a lot of it!), the gardens and our new potting shed!
Catch yah’ later buds! 🌱
