Welcome Bloomers and Buds!
I want to start off by thanking you for taking the time to visit my website and blog where I am hoping to share my gardening progress as a novice home gardener.
My name is Alla (Blooms), I love everything that gardening has to offer, and everything it brings me both physically and mentally! I have two dogs and one cat and my a husband who all get to enjoy the fruits of my labor in the garden. We are a low key family that are trying our best to be a good member of this earthly community, one tomato at a time!
Over the past four years I have become more and more interested in growing my own food, creating ecosystems that work with me for planting and growing and trying to lean into more sustainable ways to keep my plants nourished. My garden has gone from a small 2×2 foot square in my backyard to 5 large beds, countless buckets and a few perennial fruit bushes!
I have used trial and error, YouTube videos and knowledge from my gardener friends to have some successes over the past few years and those successes have made me eager to try to lean into my instincts everytime! Whether that is bucket growing, lasagna layering your soil or what fertilizer to use and how often. Gardening is a hobby for me and I find my plants thrive in my homemade chaos (haha!).
